Sprinkler winterization is the process of preparing your in-ground sprinkler system for the cold winter months. The procedure is often called a “sprinkler blow-out” because we blow compressed air through all your sprinkler lines to purge residual water from the system. Sprinkler Blowouts are essential in Northern Colorado/Fort Collins to avoid costly repairs caused by freeze damage.
Here’s what’s included:
- Visual inspection of entire system
- Turn off water supply
- Manually drain water supply line
- Blow compressed air through entire system
- Clear water from Backflow ball valves

The weather is unpredictable this time of year. We recommend that you call or schedule online for a late-September through Mid-October appointment. Our schedule fills up really fast so schedule early to be safe.

2023 LATE SEASON (11/06/2023 to 11/17/2023)

*LATE-SEASON PRICE/TERMS: We have service technicians on-call for late-season appointments through mid-November. Pre-payment is required for all late-season blowouts. We can not guarantee your blowout will be completed if the water has not been properly quick-drained from your backflow before we arrive. If your backflow preventer or exterior pipes are frozen upon arrival, it is very likely we will not be able to winterize. We do not offer any refunds under these circumstances so make sure your backflow preventer is drained and not frozen before scheduling. Please contact us with any questions before scheduling a late-season sprinkler blowout.
